The “Me, Myself and I ” Portrait Project. Copyrights: Frank Lübke Portrait Photographer
Since 2010, the Munich photographer, Frank Lübke, has been working on the photo project “Me, Myself and I .” In the pictures, the portrayed persons encounter their other “I .” In 2017, the portraits were published weekly, all year round as a photo column in Stern magazine. So far, more than eighty personalities have been portrayed for the photo project. The “Me, Myself and I ” portraits have been discussed in various magazines, including Leica’s international LFI magazine. On request, “Me, Myself and I ” portrait shootings can be arranged.
Concept: We are born into families, have friendships, partnerships and love relationships, but in the last consequence we are alone with ourselves. Our best friend or worst enemy is ourselves. In the pictures, people can take themselves in their arms, whisper something in their ear, look into each other’s eyes or sing a duet together. Each person’s duality is expressed: “Happiness and sadness,” “Reality and hope,” “occupation and passion” collide in the images.
Copying, printing or alienating the images, for business or private uses, is prohibited. Please respect the personal rights of those portrayed and the copyright of the photographer. (Copyright Frank Lübke)
